Soho, perhaps the world's most creative square mile, faces change. As the property developers move in, how will theatre, the area's lifeblood, be affected? With the 'Save Soho' campaign as a backdrop, we follow a new production taking shape at the independent Soho Theatre. Can the show thrive? And will the area's identity survive?

A mixture of actuality, cinematic GVs capturing a single summer in Soho and interviews with protagonists combined in a feature-documentary style to tell our topical story. In particular, emphasis was given to convey the nuances of the Soho debate.

Original music by Fin Tune's Mike Payne captures Soho's bohemian spirit and adds to a sense of timelessness at the documentary's denouement.

Post-production, including full grade to accentuate key emotional notes, was carried out at Fin, while audio was mixed at Soho-based GuiltFree, before file-based delivery to the BBC for transmission on BBC One and BBC Four.
