Givenchy's Very Irresistible brand posed us an opportunity with une problem. Le maison of the classic parfumier were determined that their European commercial, featuring Liv Tyler at large à Paris, would be screened in the UK as sponsorship idents. OFCOM rules state, however, that commercials cannot be used in the sponsor arena…


We employed a mix of creative invention and legal compliance knowledge to devise a novel, but on brand, visual framework within which to encase a client and compliant acceptable re-cut of the commercial rushes.


In Flame, Darian built a beautiful series of animated Givenchy pink backgrounds – echoing the perfume’s packaging - to complement the black and white Parisian footage of Tyler. Daz then artily morphed these backgrounds into the bottle itself for gorgeously French endboards. The resultant, effortlessly feel good idents graced E4’s hit 90210 series for many months.
