Fin was approached to produce two films for Bonhams' new multi-million pound building. The aim was to capture the stunning interior, rather than its art or artefacts, Of particular focus: its new auction rooms - the largest of their kind.
Working from a storyboard provided by partners Identity, the pre-launch film used library stills of Bonhams artwork, mixed together with live-action footage and text animation. The second film would encapsulate the impressive scope and scale of the salesroom & interview rooms once building completed.
To really capture the location's stunning scale and size, we utilised track, dolly, crane and steadicam. This necessitated shooting overnight - avoiding any public or staff being in-shot.
We shot a multitude of shots in diverse locations that were then blended in the final edit with existing sales footage. The finished film was shown to great acclaim at the Bonhams launch night.
