Everything we make and do is homemade at number 22: In our retro modernist Soho HQ, Fin have truly harnessed the amazing technological advances that have increasingly allowed production roles to combine. Despite owning all our filming and high-end post equipment, the benefit of state of the art technology is really only unleashed by the talent, experience and skill of our highly trained people, who can now move between each production process, releasing their creativity on clients’ behalf even further.

Filming

Whether working with DP’s and full crew or self shooting actuality, Fin’s in-house Directors always strive for unique filming techniques, camera rigs set ups and shooting styles. And Fin have carefully chosen and invested in equipment to match...

Our high end Red Scarlet camera records spectacular images at 5K, as seen in our ultra-glossy sponsor idents for Womanity - or the exquisite slow-mo's to launch Sekonda’s sports crono.

Recording onto disk and with instant playback, our XDCam HD performed brilliantly at over 100mph on the test track for Aston Martin’s Megafactories.

Our robust, lightweight Z7 HDV camera loves to play even harder, like filming in 7 countries in 17 days for South African Airways.

Fin’s lead crew are so hands-on, inventive and practical, that they have personally converted our own Helicam and dedicated Range Rover camera car, with in-dash monitors and fixed 6ft jib arm perfect for capturing motor racing.

Editing

Fin has 4 Avid Media Composers, each can edit at Full HD and in stereoscopic 3D (glassless supplied). Our 2 mobile Avid Media Composers are perfect for our international shoots, like South African Airways.

Graphics

Flame is singularly recognized as the world’s best graphics and digital FX tool. At Fin, this powerful creative system links to its own 9ft HD screen and theatre. With 15 years of experience in Canada, the US and Britain, Darian Weir is a Flame Artist truly worthy of the name, using his skill to intricately composite, paint and manoeuvre multi-layered ingredients to create unique landscapes and scenes, as in his Alice In Wonderland-like Sekonda commercial.

Fin’s After Effects also produces mouthwatering motion graphics, which thanks to designer Dylan Lategan can bring animation to life, as seen in his work for Fisherman’s Friends or Goldenlay Eggs. When mixed with Cinema 4D products like San Pallegrino can be tantalizingly revealed.

Fin Luxe

Fin’s in-house ‘Luxe’ cinema area’s technical centerpiece is our Pablo colour grading theatre. This unique suite under Soho Square sets the mood perfectly for the final stage of the creative process.

This theatre can grade in uncompressed HD and 2K, with unlimited layers and masking. Unlike other grading systems, it has full editing capability, so you can make any edit change you like, without the cost or time of visiting an edit suite. How civilized!

Audio

Our fully soundproofed audio suite, ‘Fin Tune’, uses Pro Tools 9 with a multi channel pro control Mixing desk. (You know, the one where the faders move by themselves – spooky!)

Bill Nighy is among the greats to enjoy working their tonal magic in our Voice Over booth, perfect for our broadcast, TV and radio commercials.
